Maryland Humanities’ kicked off its seventh Museum on Main Street exhibition tour of “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America” at the Allegany Museum in Cumberland, MD on Saturday, April 17, 2021. To coincide with that exhibition opening, along with three Western Maryland-focused companion exhibits both at the Allegany Museum and at the Lewis J. Ort Library on the campus of Frostburg State University, this virtual opening celebration featured video previews of the main exhibition, two of the companion exhibits, and selections of oral histories from first-time voters, as well as live welcome remarks streamed on site from Cumberland.
