Humanities Washington
Across a series of radio broadcasts, virtual programs, a call-in show, and a print magazine, HW and its radio partners cultivated a deeper understanding of electoral engagement, dialogue across divides, the dangers of misinformation, and the challenges of achieving change within the democratic process. Radio partners each produced 60-minute programs focusing on these themes and a joint call-in show with questions from listeners and responses from previous interviewees. Questions spanned the ideological spectrum and inspired thoughtful commentary. HW also conducted four virtual panel events on democracy and civic participation. An issue of their magazine, Spark, drew on this series of programs to offer a sweeping look at the state of democracy.
